Well, you did it. You got neck pain, and it’s bothering you. You’re always cracking your neck, you’re always moving it around. People are going, “What’s going on with your neck?” You can’t find a comfortable position. What happened to your neck, and more importantly, who could help you with your neck pain? Well, your local chiropractor could help. Your local chiropractor knows how to adjust your spine, and how to get you back into health without the use drugs and surgery.
Let’s talk a little bit about your neck. This is your spine, this is your cervical curve in your neck. Now, this curve is created by nature to hold that giant weight over your shoulders that’s called your head. If your head is leaning too forward because you’re texting too much, you’re driving too much, you’re just stressed out, you are going to end up leaning forward. You know, what happens, this curve, it goes away, and if this curve goes away, everything else in your spine: the muscles, the ligaments, the tendons, they have to work so much harder to keep that giant melon of your head aligned and over your body so that you could be balanced, and that the brain knows where you are in space, which believe me, is a very important thing.
You’ve got some neck pain, you go to the chiropractor, the chiropractor takes an X-ray, maybe he doesn’t take an X-ray. He says, “You’ve got a subluxation in your neck.” A neck subluxation, that sounds really bad, but trust me, it’s not as bad as you think. A neck subluxation means that the bones of your neck or the bones of your spine have adjusted, they have adapted to the stresses in your life, and trust me, I understand your stresses. What you’ve got to do, is be proactive, you’ve got to take care of them, you’ve got to work with your chiropractor to remove those subluxations. Those subluxations are preventing the nerve flow from your brain to your body. If it’s in your neck, if there’s a subluxation in your neck, that’s kind of an important part of your body, wouldn’t you say? Everything passes through that, every bit of information from your brain to your toes, to any other part below here, goes through your neck.
Visit your chiropractor, talk to them about spinal health. Talk to them about your cervical curve, and things you could do to support the curves of your spine, because you rely on them, and they rely on you.
Remember to take care of your spine and it will take care of your health. Chiropractic saves lives. I’ll see you at the Joshua Tree.
